Location: The nurse will provide part-time onsite services at the Sunnyvale, CA site.Hours: Thursday-Friday, 6:00am-3:00pm - may be asked to provide additional support to cover time off of other nurses Description of Nurse 3 Duties: • Respond to emergencies and administer first aid to employees for job related illnesses and injuries.
• Deliver OSHA and job/site/contract required surveillance program services (i.
e.
hearing conservation, respiratory protection, visual acuity, bloodborne pathogens, biological monitoring, etc.
) to identified employee populations in collaboration with Environmental Health and Safety.
Note: most of these services are performed offsite by an outside clinic, but the nurse will be responsible for scheduling, obtaining and reviewing all results from the clinic.
• Maintain accurate recordkeeping in electronic medical records system (Cority) in compliance with OSHA requirements.
• Dispense OTC Medications.
• Work with industrial toxicology and/or hygienists to recognize environmental factors and/or stresses in or from the workplace that may cause sickness, impaired health, or discomfort among the workers.
Nurse will assist in providing appropriate training to management and employees.
• Maintain compliance with laws, regulations and standards governing occupational health and safety for employees and the workplace.
Required Basic Qualifications: • At least 5+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse with Associate of Science in Nursing • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, e-mail and internet navigation • Strong presentation skills • Ability to work independently or with a team on special projects • Excellent written/oral communication and interpersonal skills • Strong attention to detail • Ability to perform a variety of tasks simultaneously • Ability to maintain confidential documents and information • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects at one time under tight deadlines • Ability to function within all levels of organization and at various locations Required certifications: • CPR/BLS Preferred Qualifications: • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing • 2+ years in occupational health Preferred Certifications: • Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC) • Spirometry (NIOSH approved course optimal) • Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) • Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) Additional Sills:
